Minor Heat is the 11th solar term in the traditional Chinese calendar, signifying the hottest period of a year is approaching，but the extreme hot point has not arrived.
小暑，中国传统24节气中的第11个节气，意味着一年中最热的时期即将到来，但还未到最热的时候。
The lotus flowers are only in full bloom during the peak of heatwaves. Due to its simplicity and elegance, the lotus is known to the Chinese as the floral god of summer.
荷花象征着纯洁和高雅，只有在热浪最盛的时候才会盛开，被中国人称为“夏天的花神”。
Fireflies become lively at night as well. Visit a quiet park or forest, and you may find fireflies light up the surroundings and create a peaceful and romantic ambience.
萤火虫也在晚上变得十分活跃。走进安静的公园或树林，你可能会发现萤火虫点亮了周围的环境，营造出宁静而浪漫的氛围。
However, the rising temperature may imposes negative impacts on the human body, causing fatigue and poor appetite. We have come up with some wise solutions. For example, eating heat-dispelling foods in season, watermelons, bitter gourds and green bean soup.

From now on, the northward-heading rain belt will move to northern China and the rainfall will become intensive and the amount of precipitation will soar. In contrast, the continuous rainfall for regions along the Yangtze River will soon stop and instead sizzling heat will dominate the land.
