Domino’s Pizza Is Much More Expensive In The UK Than Around

2017-08-06 13:41 来源:未知

A medium pepperoni pizza in the UK costs £15.99 – that’s more than one hour’s pay for most British workers.

If it sounds outrageous, it is. As researched by Metro, if you live in England, Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland, you’re getting ripped off at Domino’s.

In other parts of the world, pizza is classified as a ‘cheap takeaway option’. In the UK? It’s one of the most expensive, if not the most expensive.

And we’re not the only ones to have noticed:

Swear @Dominos_UK just keep continuing to get more and more expensive.#MortgagePlease

Hi @Dominos_UK why don't you just put your prices down instead of putting expensive flyers through my door everyday? #justathought

Shocked that a small pizza from @Dominos_UK costs £12!!!!! And we collected!!!!! That's got to be the most expensive take away.

I'm now googling "Why is Domino's so expensive?" . Also for £12 it should have been the best tasting small pizza ever @Dominos_UK

In Australia, any value pizza (like cheese and pepperoni) is $5 when you pick up – that’s £3.05 for an entire medium-sized pizza.

In New Zealand, you can save yourself one cent – the same pizza is $4.99, or £2.87.

Even the U.S. and Canada are getting better deals. In Toronto, a medium pepperoni comes in at $12.29 (£7.47 – or nearly half the price of a pizza in the UK). In New York it’s $13.99 or £11.14, which is still overpriced for some cheese and meat on dough, but better than the UK’s outrageous £15.99.
